A rock climbing comp. 2 weeks ago.( late post)
this particular comp was a disappointment for coaches from other schs and many climbers. first it's about a team event, Problem 1: the route judge was told by the climber that she's the trump " something like a (times x2 score) special card", but when the result is out, there was no trump given to that team.
the the organizers claimed that the ' Route Judges' are not climbers so they can't be blamed! if they make any mistakes during the judging process. I mean like WTH!!! you are organising a Climbing comp. and you can tell ppl that officials cannot be blamed because they are not climbers, not experienced . It's the organizers responsibility to train the route judges!
Problem 2: Open women category 'finals' the climber(xx) was briefed by a 'Route judge' about how xx should start for the route. xx was told by the ' Route judge ' that she has to start with both hands on the starting hold. BUT it is suppose to a jump start route! meaning with no hands on it! so long as xx puts one leg on the starting hold she can start the route already!
i really hope next year is a better comp. :(
